Kiss moves closer to another title!

Zolder, Belgium, September 12th - Norbert Kiss is unquestionably the FIA European Truck Racing Championship’s form driver!

In Belgium, at round six of the championship, he produced another near perfect display, collecting a hatful of points to take him one step closer to another title. The strength of the Hungarian ace is undoubtedly that he manages to get among the points when victory is out of reach. This approach has ensured he has scored heavily at every round of the championship so far. In Belgium, he not only grabbed both pole positions, beating his own lap record in the process in the second qualifying session, but also produced a supremely skilful performance to win race three.

In race one, he finished as runner-up to a brilliant Sascha Lenz performance, before claiming another second place in race two, this time behind Jochen Hahn. He rounded off the weekend with ninth place in the fourth and final race, won by Adam Lacko. An impressive level of consistency that leaves him in relaxed mood ahead of the final two rounds. Finally, it is worth noting that Jonathan Andre, Lion Truck Racing’s new driver who stepped in at short notice to replace the late Anthony Janiec, continued on his learning curve in Belgium, recording encouraging results in races three and four, where he finished twelfth and eleventh.

Championship update

Kiss pursued his relentless march towards the title in Belgium. Thanks to another successful weekend, the Hungarian defending champion increased his lead over his closest rival by eight points, giving him a 68-point advantage with two meetings to go to the end of a season that he has largely dominated.
