TotalEnergies and the Goodyear FIA European truck racing championship
Recognised as an official FIA championship since 2006, the Goodyear FIA ETRC is the pinnacle of truck racing. It is also the first FIA championship to run on fuel made exclusively from renewable sources through the use of the HVO100 biodiesel provided by TotalEnergies.
TotalEnergies, official biodiesel supplier to the Goodyear FIA ETRC
Thanks to its unrivalled reputation throughout the industry and the high quality of its products, TotalEnergies has been selected by the FIA to be the official supplier of biodiesel to the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship since 2021. To feed these 1200hp, 5.3 tonne monsters, the multi-energy group and pioneer in mobility of the future, is supplying its advanced biofuel, HVO100. HVO100 is a fuel made exclusively from renewable sources. It is a synthetic, paraffinic hydrocarbon diesel, certified as sustainable and compliant with the renewable energies EU directive. It is made using sustainable vegetable oils or reprocessed waste products (animal fat, cooking oil, residue materials, etc.). Above all, it has the capacity, when combined with minor modifications to the engine mapping, to completely eliminate the emission of black smoke. For the eight meetings scheduled this year, TotalEnergies is preparing to distribute more than seventy cubic metres of the HVO100 among competitors.
