
TotalEnergies and the FIA European truck racing championship
Recognised as an official FIA championship since 2006, the ETRC is the pinnacle of truck racing. It is also the first FIA championship to run on fuel made exclusively from renewable sources through the use of the HVO100 biodiesel provided by TotalEnergies for the next three seasons.

Thanks to its unrivalled reputation throughout the industry and the high quality of its products, TotalEnergies has been selected by the FIA to be the official supplier of biodiesel to the FIA European Truck Racing Championship for the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons. To feed these 1200hp, 5.3 tonne monsters, the multi-energy group and pioneer in mobility of the future, is providing is set to supply its advanced biofuel, HVO100. HVO100 is a fuel made exclusively from renewable sources. It is a synthetic, paraffinic hydrocarbon diesel, certified as sustainable and compliant with the renewable energies EU directive. It is made using sustainable vegetable oils or reprocessed waste products (animal fat, cooking oil, residue materials, etc.). Above all, it has the capacity, when combined with minor modifications to the engine mapping, to completely eliminate the emission of black smoke. For the seven meetings scheduled this year, TotalEnergies is preparing to distribute some seventy cubic metres of the fuel among competitors.
