Alpine Endurance Team – FIA WEC

After a promising maiden season in the World Championship with the new A424 Hypercar prototype including a podium at the 6 Hours of Fuji, the Alpine Endurance Team returns this year with two Alpine A424 cars driven by two revised crews, strengthened by the promotion of Jules Gounon and the arrival of Frédéric Makowiecki.

ALPINE A424 No. 35

Paul-Loup Chatin
Born on 19 October 1991 in Dourdan, France

Paul-Loup followed the traditional path from karting to single-seater before successfully switching to Endurance racing. His first collaboration with Alpine back in 2014 was pretty successful, as they clinched the ELMS title in the LMP2 class whilst also finishing third at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the category. Paul-Loup rejoined Alpine in the 2024 FIA WEC - World Endurance Championship and has now established himself as one of the leading Endurance drivers.

Charles Milesi
Born on 4 March 2001 in Chaumont, France

After cutting his teeth in karting, Charles Milesi switched to single-seater racing before moving to Endurance in 2020. He quickly performed well in the discipline, winning the FIA LMP2 Endurance Trophy in the 2021 FIA WEC, with three race wins including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He joined the Alpine Elf Endurance Team in 2023. He was one of the fastest Hypercar drivers in the field in 2024, qualifying the Alpine A424 for the HyperPole on several occasions.

Ferdinand Habsburg
Born on 21 june 1997 in Salzburg, Austria.

The Austrian recently joined the Alpine Elf Endurance Team family ahead of the Hypercar programme. His recruitment follows his impressive climb of the Endurance ladder in recent years. After having won the Asian Le Mans Series in 2021, he also clinched the FIA LMP2 Endurance Trophy in the same year, with a win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, before confirming in 2022 with another success this time in the European Le Mans Series.

ALPINE A424 No. 36

Mick Schumacher 
Born on 22 march 1999 in Vufflens-le-Château, Switzerland.

Son of the famous Michael, the young German followed a meticulous approach, climbing the single-seater ladder category after category, ultimately reaching F1. He then competed as a works Haas F1 driver for two seasons. In 2024, he began a new career in Endurance racing with the Alpine Elf Endurance Team, and his outright speed and strong sense of team spirit have already convinced the French squad to renew their faith in him for 2025.

Jules Gounon
Born on 31 December 1994 in Aubenas, France

Son of the former driver Jean-Marc Gounon, Jules was surrounded by the world of motorsport at a young age. After starting out late but successfully in karting, he tried single-seater racing before making a productive switch to Grand Touring cars. Two-time winner of the 24 Hours of Spa and ADAC GT Masters Champion, he has one of the best competitive records in GT racing. Jules joined the Alpine Endurance Team last year when he replaced Ferdinand Habsburg and his performances impressed…

Frédéric Makowiecki
Born on 22 November 1980 in Arras, France

Formerly at Porsche, Frédéric Makowiecki is one of the most experienced drivers in the World Endurance Championship, having competed in the series for more than ten years. After starting out in karting, Frédéric quickly moved into GT racing. He impressed in the FIA GT world championship and the Super GT in Japan, before winning several major Endurance races in the GT class (24H of Le Mans, Nürburgring, etc.) and then switching to prototypes in 2023. His vast experience will be a major asset for the Alpine Endurance Team.
